Daikin AC Holds Annual Sales Meeting
Daikin AC Annual
Sales Meeting was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado in September,
2009 Daikin AC (Americas), Inc., a leading manufacturer of
intelligent heating and cooling equipment, recently awarded the
company’s fiscal year 2008 top performing distributors at the
annual sales meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rallying
around the theme ”Rise to the Top”, Daikin AC’s customers
spent several days in September to attain insight and training on
the company’s new innovative products, marketing programs,
operations, service and other tools generated to help distributors
increase sales and
profits. The company also offered a host of adventure games, such
as hot air balloon rides, bungee jumping and rock climbing to
illustrate that teamwork helps achieve common goals.
“The annual
meeting gives us the opportunity to spend several days in close
contact with our customers,” said Akinori “Andy” Atarashi,
president of Daikin AC. “We are able to gather critical feedback
needed to continue to develop our internal support systems focus
on customers’ needs,” Atarashi continued. During the general
session, Mr. Atarashi expressed his strong conviction that Daikin’s
intelligent heating and cooling systems are preferred by our
customers because of the tremendous energy saving capability of
Daikin’s inverter technology. Mr. Atarashi also explained Daikin’s
commitment to reduce CO2 emission and conserving the environment
on a global scale. Russell Tavolacci, vice president and general
manager of Daikin AC, addressed the crowd and conveyed Daikin AC’s
vision to create partnerships with our distributors that are based
on integrity and Daikin’s energy efficient products will allow
our partners to experience business growth even in challenging
economic periods. In addition to a product trade show, insightful
workshops, and a general session, Daikin also recognized top
distributors in several categories:

Market Share
Leadership Award The Market Share Leadership Award is given to the
top 3 distributorships with the highest sales of Daikin split
systems products in several regions in 2008. This year the winners
were The Star Supply Company in the northeast region, Behler-Young
in the central region and Idaho Green Supply in the west region.
Best Sales Increase Award The Best Sales Increase Award recognizes
one distributor in each of five regions who experienced the
greatest percentage increase in overall sales from 2007 through
2008. This year the award winners were The Wallwork Group in the
northeast region, Baker Distributing Company in the southeast
region, ACES A/C Supply in the south region, Slakey Brothers Inc.,
in the west region, and EMCO Corporation in Canada. DNA Dealer
Achievement The DNA Dealer Achievement Award is given to the top
three distributors with the most sales from contractors who are
enrolled in the Daikin Network Alliance (DNA), a group of
professional contractors meeting training and registrations
requirements.
Winners include The
Wallwork Group in the northeast region, Coastline Distribution in
the southeast region and The Star Supply Company in the northeast
region. The Pinnacle Award In addition to awards in two other
categories, The Star Supply Company, based in New Haven,
Connecticut, also received the Pinnacle Award from Daikin AC. The
Pinnacle Award is given to the distributorship which performs the
best in terms of sales, opportunities, closure rates, project
scope and size and level of investment in Daikin and their line of
