Blackman Announces Two New Appointments.
Blackman Plumbing
Supply is proud to announce the following staff appointments: Tom
Carney has been promoted to the newly created position of HVAC
Division Manager and Eric Frak has been promoted to the newly
created position of HVAC Area Sales Manager.
Tom came to Blackman
Plumbing Supply through the acquisition of Ridgewood Corp where he
most recently served as Sr. VP / Sales and Marketing. Tom first
joined Ridgewood Corp. in August of 1998 as their HVAC Division
Manager. Prior to working at Ridgewood Corp., Tom was employed for
16 years with Montgomery Engineering a New Jersey Carrier HVAC
distributor that was eventually purchased by Carleton Stuart
Corp. before becoming what is now Carrier Northeast.

At Carleton
Stuart Corp., Tom served as their Tri-State Sales Manager, with
responsibilities for the Carrier / Bryant / Payne brands. Tom
brings with him a wealth of knowledge relative to the NJ, Hudson
Valley NY and southeast Pennsylvania territories. His exceptional
ability to maintain relationships in the market place is a true
asset as is evident by his contributions in having Ridgewood Corp.
be named ICPs Comfortmaker Distributor of the Year in
2007.
Tom and his wife
Susan have one child, a son, who is presently attending college in
Boston. Tom is originally from Connecticut and attended the
University of Connecticut, 1974 1978. After college, Tom lived
on St. Croix for three years and played golf on the Caribbean and
North Florida mini-tours. Tom will continue to reside in New
Jersey.
Eric Frak's career
started in 1980 working for Volkman as a Parts Man. During that
time, he had the opportunity of learning the HVAC industry. In
1982, Eric joined Winkler. He worked his way from driver, to
warehouse, to counter sales and then Branch Manager. During his 15
years at Winkler, he developed the knowledge and sales skills that
enabled him to open 4 new branches. Eric joined Blackman in 1997
as an Inside Salesman. In 2008, he took the position of HVAC
Manager. Eric has been an integral part of the success of the HVAC
division. He currently resides in Shirley with his wife Diane and
daughter Dana.
